I went out after class just now for lunch..and it suddenly struck me; I realized that shopping complexes in Malaysia are never empty! Of course they will always be full as they are public places and are indeed meant to be full (right2???). However, it really made me think of Malaysians' economic status. It seems as if everyone can now afford to shop. I was sitting on a bench looking at the people who walked pass me and i noticed that they must have at least a paper bag in their hands be it GAP, Coach, Just B, etc. If you go during the weekend, it is even worst - there are tons of people that sometimes it is even difficult to walk around! malaysians seem to be shopping endlessly! Shopping is fun and I am not denying people's right to shop..but it gave me goosebumps when I think of the amount of money that people spend just to shop..be it things that they really need or things that they merely desire. Is shopping a new Malaysian culture? Just a thought.

I personally love to go to malls, cause they have airconds there. I mean, we are not living overseas where we can go lepak at parks for picnic etc. The weather is super hot that's why I choose to go to malls for outing. good for the health, as we don't get sunburns. :P That's why I guess Malaysians shop a lot nowadays, cuz when we are in the malls (like most of the time), temptations do come, right?
